Day 1 – Arrival in Ulgii and the Oigor River Valley Upon arrival in Ulgii, the capital of Bayan-Ulgii aimag, you will be warmly welcomed by a local tour team including a driver, cook and English-speaking guide. Ulgii is the birthplace of the Kazakh people who settled in western Mongolia in the 19th century, and their culture is still evident today. 🌟 Day 2 – Horse Trek to Base Camp
After breakfast, we begin our horse trekking adventure toward the base camp. All your luggage will be transported by camels, while you are guided by experienced local horsemen and your English-speaking tour guide.
Along the way, you will pass through alpine meadows, watch streams flowing from snow-capped peaks, and have opportunities to observe wildlife. Before riding, the guides will introduce you to your horse, explaining its temperament and care. Each horse has a unique character, much like people, making this an immersive and personal experience.
